Every time I’ve had the opportunity to see Mo Awale he’s got a smile on his face and he’s looking for a joke to crack. Mo and I met though stand up comedy here in Portland. He’s used his talent to win over crowds and has moved quickly in to being a well known and well respected comic (he has trouble calling himself a comic, but I definitely see him as one).

My guest this week is all around fantastic person Caity Pitts. Caity and I met performing open mic comedy in Portland. Her material definitely stands out in many ways. You often get the full story of her characters just from the sound of their voice, and if you’re lucky she’ll get her dad on the phone during her set! We talk about growing up dancing and her passion for getting on stage, which brought her toward college for filmmaking.
